Most people have at some point or the other had to face the problem of unwanted hair and have tried various techniques for hair removal. The kind of hair removal method that is best suited for you depends on the location and concentration of hair growth as well as on your type of skin and its sensitivity.
The most popular way of getting rid of unwanted hair is shaving. Although shaving is effective and cheap, the flip side is that it is only temporary and you need to keep on shaving on a routine basis in order to maintain hair-free skin. For example, men shave their beards on a daily basis. Shaving is also popular for getting rid of chest hair and leg hair.
Another method is waxing hair off the body. It is a messy process, which normally cannot conveniently be done at home all by yourself. On the positive side, while waxing, the hair is extracted from the root, which results in a longer span of smooth skin as the hair takes about two weeks to begin growing back. But keep in mind that waxing is a painful method and should not be carried out on sensitive body parts.
The third process is using a hair removal cream, which is simple to apply and can be used without anyone’s assistance. While this does not cause pain, the hair grows back quicker than in the case of waxing. The skin can also be allergic to the components of the cream causing it to develop ugly rashes.
Those who have uneven hair growth on their bodies can go for hair transplant from the areas with more growth to the areas with lesser growth. This is a complicated process and must be applied only in case there are no other alternatives.
Lastly, laser hair removal treatment can be opted for, but it is very expensive. Permanent freedom from hair is the most desirable benefit of laser treatment. But for avoiding marks or other accidents, it must only be done by trained professionals.
